This fine little repair lathe will do tips and ferrules and a lot more. It comes with a full 48 inch bed for added stability, It has a 10 inch rack gear carriage travel, a andard headstock with 15 mm through spindle bore, and two steady rests with bearing (one large and one small), a set of 3 plastic collets and three nylon collets... plus a plastic plug which turns the small steady rest into a concave live center. The carriage & cross slide assembly includes a double sided tool post with two HSS cutting bits. The motor is a 110 -
The 180 watt 110–120 volt AC motor is approximately 1/5 HP and is not rated for continuous operation. It is intended to be used for turning, light cutting, sanding and polishing, normal tip and/or ferrule replacement, replacing linen wraps and shaft maintenance and other cue repair operations. If the motor is over worked (operated under a heavy load) it will draw higher current and will overheat. Over heating can also be caused by running the motor for longer than normal periods. Continued overheating can cause the motor to weaken and fail. If you have any questions please just let me know.
I recommend that you consider the optional manual speed control which is available for just $25.00 when purchased with the lathe (regular price is $30.00).
